Peppermint Bark

1 12 oz. package of white chocolate chips
24 peppermint candies

Line a baking sheet with waxed paper. Melt the white chocolate over the stove or in the microwave. In a baggie, crush the peppermint candies. Mix the peppermint and chocolate together. Spread mixture to desired thickness on the baking sheet. Cool until firm. Break into pieces.

And voila, you have the yummiest holiday snack around.

Snowballs

1 cup butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups flour
1 cup chopped pecans
1/3 cup powdered sugar, for dusting

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Cream the butter with 1/2 cup powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Mix in flour, pecans and salt. Roll about 1 tablespoon of dough into balls and placed on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for about 15 minutes (do not allow cookies to get brown). While the cookies are still hot, roll them in the powdered sugar; set aside to cool. Once cookies have cooled, roll again in the powdered sugar.

My father-in-law's favorites and mine too, for Christmas! Yummy in the tummy!
