1 loaf crusty bread (Italian loaf, sourdough loaf)
Mozzarella cheese, sliced
2 eggs
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon thyme
Salt
Nutmeg
Olive Oil
Butter
Whisk the eggs, then add the cream, thyme, dash of salt and dash of nutmeg. Warm up the griddle; pour a little olive oil on to spread around, then some butter until melted. Put the sandwich together, dip it into the cream mixture and cook around 3-4 minutes on each side until brown.
SO good. Maybe bacon with it next time. And who doesn't like a grilled cheese sandwich?

Grilled Cheese Pull-Apart Sandwiches
1 can Pillsbury Grand Flaky Biscuits (8 or 10 count)
1 can Pillsbury Buttermilk Biscuits (8 or 10 count)
1/2 box of Mexican Velveeta Cheese
1/2 cup melted butter
Lunchmeat
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Put a small piece of the velveeta inside a biscuit and roll it up to hide the cheese. Alternate biscuits with cheese and lunchmeat. Place all of the balls side by side into a greased baking pan. Pour the melted butter over the top and bake for approx 25-30 minutes until brown and cooked. Pull apart and enjoy!
I like to use ham with my grilled cheese sandwiches and the biscuits make the sandwiches even tastier. This meal was devoured very quickly!! Perfect for a lunch or light dinner!

Baked Potato Grilled Cheese Sandwich
2 slices crusty bread
1 potato, sliced
2 tablespoons sour cream
2 pieces bacon, cooked
Cheddar Cheese, sliced
Green Onions, chopped
First step is to cook the potato. Slice the potato into 4-5 slices and cook with oil until both sides are browned. Butter the bread (French, sourdough, etc). Add 1 tablespoon of sour cream onto one half, along with a slice of cheese. Fan out the potatoes on top of the cheese, followed by the other tablespoon of sour cream. Add the green onions, bacon and another slice of cheese. Grill the sandwich until both sides become brown and VOILA! Tu es finis!
This sandwich is addicting. I'm actually serious. I was full and was still trying to convince my sister that she didn't like hers so I could eat it too. Seriously delicious. Now, the girls don't like potatoes too much, but they still ate this (I overdid the sour cream on theirs). Ready to become addicted? Then make these!

Ham And Cheese Sliders
12 dinner rolls
12 slices of ham
6 slices of Swiss cheese
1/4 cup mayo
1/4 cup Miracle Whip
1 tablespoon poppy seeds
1 1/2 tablespoons yellow mustard
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 tablespoon onion, minced
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a small bowl, mix the mayo and Miracle Whip (yuck). Spread onto both sides of the rolls. Layer with one slice of ham & 1/2 a slice of Swiss cheese. Place on a cookie sheet as close together as possible. Melt your butter, and mix together with the poppy seeds, yellow mustard, minced onion and Worcestershire sauce. Pour evenly over the rolls. Let them sit for 10 minutes. Place in the oven, covered with foil and cook for 12-15 minutes (so that cheese is nice and melted). Uncover and broil for 2 minutes longer.
These were super yummy and super easy to make (although I made my sauce before the sandwiches and the butter cooled...yikes). My girls loved them, the hubby loved them and I loved them. I would for sure make these again and again.

French Dip Crescents
1 package roast beef deli meat
1 package sliced Swiss cheese
2 packages crescent rolls (8 oz.)
1 1/2 cups beef broth
1 cup water
1 tablespoon minced onion
1 tablespoon thyme
1 tablespoon parsley
1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
Horseradish
Hot & Spicy Mustard
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Roll out the crescents. Layer on the horseradish and mustard. Begin rolling, but before the end, place 1 1/2 slices of roast beef and half a slice of cheese. Finish rolling and place on a greased baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes until crescents are brown and baked through. Check yours because mine sometimes don't cook thoroughly.
While the crescents are baking, put the beef broth and water in a pot and bring to a boil (this is making the au jus). Add the minced onion, thyme, parsley and chopped onion. Simmer until the crescents are done baking. Serve in a small bowl to dip your crescents in.
Seriously, I never have any luck when it comes to baking meat in a crescent roll. It's still doughy on the bottom and inside. So hopefully, this new method will work. These were good and the girls ate their portions. I had more than I should have, but the au jus was delicious.

Bacon Wrapped Turkey Burger Sandwich
1 pound of Ground Turkey
4 slices of Bacon, uncooked
3 Green Onions, chopped
1 tablespoon of Garlic Powder
1 tablespoon of Ground Sage
Salt & Pepper to taste
Sourdough Bread
Provolone Cheese
BBQ Sauce
Mix together the ground turkey, chopped green onions, garlic powder, ground sage and salt & pepper in a large mixing bowl with a wooden spoon. Create four patties out of the meat mixture. Pin the bacon around each patty with a few toothpicks. Slap on the ole George Foreman until cooked. Place a slice of provolone cheese on top and grill again for just a few seconds. Place on the sourdough bread with a little bit of BBQ sauce.
Next time, we are definitely cooking the bacon first, if only for a little bit. It was fully cooked this time around, but it just didn't have the same flavor we were expecting. Other than that, it was quite tasty.

I wanted red bell peppers initially, but the store I went to was out of them. The green turned out to be pretty good. They were still super crunchy, which is what I wanted.
Bryce is a mayo freak, so he added a ton to his afterward. I just had a little bit on mine. And of course, the girls just opted for regular grilled cheese (no fun).
Definitely tasty and well deserved after a long day in the sun!
