1 pound of Ground Turkey
4 slices of Bacon, uncooked
3 Green Onions, chopped
1 tablespoon of Garlic Powder
1 tablespoon of Ground Sage
Salt & Pepper to taste
Sourdough Bread
Provolone Cheese
BBQ Sauce
Mix together the ground turkey, chopped green onions, garlic powder, ground sage and salt & pepper in a large mixing bowl with a wooden spoon. Create four patties out of the meat mixture. Pin the bacon around each patty with a few toothpicks. Slap on the ole George Foreman until cooked. Place a slice of provolone cheese on top and grill again for just a few seconds. Place on the sourdough bread with a little bit of BBQ sauce.
Next time, we are definitely cooking the bacon first, if only for a little bit. It was fully cooked this time around, but it just didn't have the same flavor we were expecting. Other than that, it was quite tasty.
