1 pound of ground turkey
1/2 a box of pasta (any kind)
1/2 jar of alfredo sauce
1/2 jar of spaghetti sauce
1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon of ground sage
Salt & Pepper to taste
Put the ground turkey into a pan and begin the browning process. While the meat is cooking, add the garlic powder, Italian seasoning, ground sage and salt & pepper. Boil and drain the pasta. Once the meat is cooked and the pasta is done, add the two together. Mix thoroughly. Add the alfredo sauce and the spaghetti sauce. Mix together again. Go ahead and add the cheese. Mix together and let simmer until the cheese is melted.
I made this the other night when it was 5:30 in the evening and I had no idea what to make for dinner. Luckily, I had ground turkey already defrosted. So I brainstormed and came up with this meal based on a Hamburger Helper meal I saw at the store. Only this was 10 times better. Bryce seriously liked it.
I think I'm getting better at this cooking thing!
